LGBT Inclusion

MVDA promotes recognition of the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Middlesbrough. This includes:

• delivering LGBT diversity training;


• an LGBT Inclusion Award for local services;


• community based activities for LGBT people (e.g. film and theatre workshops);


• supporting events to promote the inclusion of the LGBT community (e.g. SuperGay);


• a website to promote local and regional LGBT activities: www.lgbtmiddlesbrough.co.uk;


• advocating for and supporting the development of services for the LGBT community;


• an LGBT Hate Crime Reporting Centre at MVDA.
