Middlesbrough Community Network (MCN)

Since 2002, the voluntary and community sector (VCS) has engaged in Middlesbrough Partnership through the organisational and representational structures of Middlesbrough Community Network (MCN).

MVDA has provided core support for MCN with funding from central government, initially through Government Office North East and subsequently through Middlesbrough Council. As a result of public sector funding cuts, from 1 April 2011 no resources will be available to support MCN and it will therefore no longer exist as a route for representation and engagement of Middlesbrough's voluntary and community sector.

Middlesbrough Partnership's structure is currently under review. MVDA is committed to ensuring that VCS views are represented in key local planning forums and will make information available about new local arrangements when they are available.
